DEFINITION OF THE PROBLEM
The Problem we chose was water wasting, we Chose this Problem because it directly impacts our Institution and the environment. Also students Valentina and juan think that water could be used more efficiently, Alumni Estevez and calderon think that water recycling Systems should be implemented, Parents think that there should be better education on water usage, and teachers Cecilia and Fabio molano think that stricter Policies on water usage should be established. It is important to say that this problem has Prevailed for several years, according to the institution's records.
on the other hand, the underlying root of this problem is that students do not turn off the taps Students think that this is due to either considering it a waste of time to Close the taps or thet get distracted.
This problem affects the Facundo Navas Mantilla institution. It affects us by Pottencially leading to a situation where Stricter water rationing measures could be implemented in the Future due to excessive water wastage. The consequences it generates are higher costs, potencial water shortages, and ecosystem damage.
This problem could be solve with the help of the institution. In the past measures such as educational campaigns and didactic activities have been effective. Also,technology can influence to the solution of the Problem by introducing automated systems for efficient water use.
Our solution to the water wasting was informative talks. We go went the classrooms and displayed the posters. We applied the solution in the men's bathroom on the first floor. We did from april 4 to april 17, 2024.
Our conclusion is that our solution didn't wort very well, because the evidence we can see that the bathroom remained clean for a short period of time. We think this happens because we locked as a group to present the topic in a more didactic way, in addition to the lack of awareness.
